Oliver Boolakee successfully defends his PhD Thesis
We are happy to announce that Oliver brilliantly defended his thesis
“Lattice Boltzmann for solids” on April 30, 2025.
In his research, Oliver investigated the application of the lattice
Boltzmann method known from fluid dynamics to problems in solid
mechanics in order to enable simpler couplings of fluid-structure
interactions and unprecendented simulation speeds.
The CompMech group wishes Dr. Boolakee all the best for his future!
